César Marco Sevilla Vargas

At 82 years old, he faces a highly vulnerable situation due to advanced cataracts affecting both eyes, significantly limiting his vision and his ability to function independently in the simplest daily activities. The progressive loss of vision has led him to spend most of his time indoors, struggling to move safely and constantly at risk of falls and accidents. This condition has also impacted his emotional well-being, leading to feelings of frustration, dependence, and social isolation.

He currently has no income and does not receive the Dignity Pension benefit due to administrative issues related to his personal documentation. His main support is his granddaughter Adriana, who assists him with personal matters and daily activities while continuing her studies. For César, cataract surgery represents much more than recovering his vision: it means regaining independence, safety, confidence, and the possibility of reconnecting with his environment with greater autonomy and quality of life.
